Project VIGYASA Science & Mathematics Teachers’ Workshop Successfully Concludes at Mohol

Mohol, Maharashtra | 8 July 2026

A two-day Science and Mathematics Teachers’ Capacity Building Workshop under Project VIGYASA – Science Ki Disha, organized through the CSR initiative of Alivus Life Sciences, concluded successfully with great enthusiasm.

The workshop was jointly organized by ARM Foundation, Pune, and the Mohol Science Association on 6th and 7th July 2026 at Lokseva Hotel, Mohol.

Around 50 Science and Mathematics teachers participated in the workshop. The primary objective was to strengthen teachers’ subject knowledge and promote effective, activity-based, practical, and student-centric teaching methods that help develop a scientific outlook among school students.

During the two-day training, expert trainers from the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) introduced participants to:

  1. Modern pedagogical approaches in Science and Mathematics.
  2. Hands-on experimental teaching methods.
  3. Inquiry-based learning activities.
  4. Innovative classroom practices.
  5. Techniques to nurture scientific thinking among students

The training sessions were conducted by Ashok Rupnar, Prashant Kumar, Tejas Chimbalkar, Manisha Pingale, Pranjali Sohoni, and Shyam Chakote, who demonstrated various scientific experiments, classroom activities, and effective teaching techniques. Teachers actively participated and performed the experiments themselves.

Representatives from the Solapur Science Centre, including Gambhir Sir and Das Sir, visited the workshop, interacted with the participants, observed the training sessions, and appreciated the initiative. They emphasized the importance of such practical training programs in making science education more engaging and effective.

The workshop was organized under the guidance of Rahul Rode (Secretary, ARM Foundation) and Praful Patil, with valuable support from Mr. Kumar and Mr. Talekar, whose efforts contributed significantly to the successful execution of the program.

The organizers stated that the workshop would play an important role in enhancing teachers’ scientific understanding, improving creativity, and fostering scientific thinking among students.

At the valedictory ceremony, certificates of completion were distributed to all participating teachers.
