Teacher Capacity Building

We enhance classroom practices through:

• Strengthening teacher competencies in Mathematics and Language

Hands-On Science and STEM Education

URMEE’s Cultivating Scientific Temper program is dedicated to igniting curiosity, nurturing creativity, and fostering a lasting interest in science among students. The initiative transforms traditional classrooms into dynamic learning environments where students actively engage with scientific concepts through hands-on experiments, inquiry-based learning, and real-world problem solving. Rooted in the belief that scientific temper, marked by logical thinking, evidence-based reasoning, and a spirit of questioning is essential for success in the modern world, URMEE provides students with direct opportunities to explore and investigate scientific phenomena.

A key element of the program is the development and upgradation of school science laboratories. URMEE equips schools with essential tools, safety infrastructure, activity kits, and digital learning aids, creating child-friendly spaces that support practical learning. Through structured experiments and activity-based modules, students observe principles in action, test ideas, build analytical skills, and learn through exploration and collaboration.

To ensure effective facilitation, URMEE also trains teachers in inquiry-driven pedagogies, lab management, and STEM integration. 

By promoting curiosity, rational thinking, and evidence-based understanding, URMEE aims to strengthen STEM education in underserved communities and inspire a generation of confident, innovative young learners
